Brenda S. Doetzer graduated from UMBC with a BA in Psychology. She has always felt that her purpose is to "help people", and so searched for many years to find the medium, which best suited her. In 1995, Brenda came across the ancient healing art of Reiki. She knew she had found a wonderful gift. She received her Master training, as well as Karuna Reiki ® Master Teacher, Sekhem-Seichim, and Lightarian ™ Reiki training from Diane Ruth Shewmaker. She is also a certified Reconnective Healing ™Practitioner, and certified Integrated Energy Therapy™ Practitioner.
Brenda teaches Reiki classes and practices Reiki at Ruscombe Mansion Community Health Center. She is a volunteer for Evercare Hospice, giving Reiki treatments to referred clients.

The ability to use Reiki is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master, through an "attunement" process. It is like a re-awakening of a talent which has been lying dormant within. Anyone can learn Reiki, with no prior experience or ability.
