Shiatsu
What is Shiatsu acupressure? Shiatsu is a form of bodywork therapy developed in Japan to help restore health and prevent disease. It is based on the Chinese medical model using touch along the acu-points to address the whole body-mind system.
Shiatsu may involve stretching, holding, and soft tissue manipulation to improve energy flow and balance. Comfortable manual pressure is applied and the depth of touch is adjusted to each person’s needs and may range from very light, to slow, to deep, to quick. No oils are used so disrobing is unnecessary. Sessions take about one hour.
Determining the number and frequency of sessions one needs is based on each person’s response to the therapy.
Rosemary has been effective in using shiatsu with acute and chronic pain, injuries, allergy and food sensitivities, stress management and greater performance issues, health awareness and nutritional testing, increased self awareness and wellness. Her services help restore the body back to its natural expression of peace and vitality. Her family practice includes infants to seniors.
Allergy Elimination
Metabolic NAET (Nambudripads Allergy Elimination Therapy) is a non-invasive, easy method of allergy testing and elimination. It uses principles of shiatsu therapy and nutrition. To begin with, the practitioner uses applied kinesiology (muscle testing) to check for allergies or sensitivities. Then shiatsu is applied to restore the system to harmony, thus eliminating the allergic reaction.
Treating the whole system in this way has far-reaching health benefits.
Applied Kinesiology
Applied Kinesiology is a non-invasive system of evaluating body function that is unique in the healing arts. Essentially applied kinesiology allows us to eavesdrop into the body to find out information in a quick and simple way. Common uses of applied kinesiology are to evaluate nutritional needs, to test for allergies, or to ask questions pertaining to one’s health. It has become a dynamic movement in health care in its relatively short existence. George Goodhart discovered Applied Kinesiology in 1964 and it has grown and incorporated many different techniques across a wide diversity of professions.
