Join us with Dr. J. Zohara Meyerhoff Hieronimus to discuss her new book, White Spirit Animals, in the Hill House Conference Room on Tuesday, December 12, 7-8:30pm.

As a bridge between the spiritual and physical worlds, between humans and animals, White Spirit Animals are calling us to open our hearts to the wild, to the sacredness of the wind, the water, the Earth, and dream a new world into being to heal our own personal and collective wounds and restore the Earth to balance.

J. Zohara Meyerhoff Hieronimus, D.H.L., is an award-winning radio broadcaster, social justice and environmental activist, and professional artist. She founded the Ruscombe Mansion Community Health Center in Baltimore in 1984. She hosted the national radio program Future Talk until 2008 and cohosts 21st Century Radio® with her husband, Robert Hieronimus. The author of several books, she lives in Owings Mills, Maryland.

Join us for lunch at the Rucombe Coop Café in January! Service returns on Wednesday January 17^th from 11-3, and then every Wednesday in January. Additional dates and meal prep pick up options will be expanding in February. Chef Zion + the Onyx Marketplace Collective are serving our community with fresh, healthy and artisanally prepared meals, focusing on local and seasonal produce. Zion’s homemade deliciousness is drawing in the crowds.

Meet Chef Zion! “I am a dedicated culinary student with a deep love for farm to table cuisine. I love to forage, commune with my friends and neighbors, and celebrate life through the exchange of culture and love.

“My culinary journey began by creating low-cost meals for my siblings as our parents worked to provide for us. Paired with a love, an ancestral connection to farming, and several years in restaurants and cafe management, my cooking style emerges at the brilliant intersection between farming and culinary exploration.
