Chronic Post-Treatment Lyme:
Healing Options for a Confounding Condition

This monthly group is open to any holistic health practitioner who wants to talk with practitioners in their own and other modalities.  The purposes are:  skill-building, sharing information and experiences, and discovering methods to develop ourselves and support each other.

In mid-October the 17th annual conference of the Lyme Disease Association met in St. Paul. Current research on their agenda included a review of evidence suggesting a link between spirochetal infection and Alzheimer’s Disease, the discovery of a new species of Borrelia causing Lyme in the US, and new findings regarding the human immune response in Lyme disease – this last from Hopkins’ Dr. John Aucott.

But while researchers forge such new frontiers seeking answers to the many mysteries of this “condition,” more and more clients who have stumped their medical care-givers, often over a period of years, are coming to us for help: bodyworkers, acupuncturists, therapists, naturopaths, “unconventional” physicians.

In November, Sara Eisenberg will present a composite case study, then open up a roundtable discussion of the case and the varied diagnostic and therapeutic approaches we bring to these clients.  She will share her approach to using Western herbs in the context of Stephen Buhner’s Lyme Protocol, and the unanswered, perhaps unanswerable questions that linger.

Sara Eisenberg grapples with honesty and kindness in daily life in Baltimore, where she practices as a healer, herbalist and creative inquirer. She has more than 30 years’ experience as a guide, facilitator and educator in the healing arts, and holds a Masters of Science degree in Herbal Medicine. Sara has worked in community, academic, and spiritually-based settings, including Johns’ Hopkins School of Business, St. Joseph Medical Center, and the Maryland University of Integrative Health.

We will meet at Ruscombe’s Hill House Conference Room, 4801 Yellowwood Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21209. The cost is $5.00 to cover expenses.
