The Power of Place

The Power of Place

By Laura Cortner, Director

Ruscombe is an excellent example of the power of place. Fifty years ago, when the Mansion became home to a dedicated group of meditators and teachers and practitioners of the holistic healing arts, Ruscombe was unique. Back then, one had to travel the country to find qualified holistic healers, but today natural health care is much more mainstream. What continues to set Ruscombe apart from other healing centers, however, is the powerful healing intention that imbues our property. The healing ray is so strong here that it is palpable for those who are sensitive to the detection of “subtle energy” fields.

In 1984, when Zohara Meyerhoff Hieronimus founded the healing collective called Ruscombe, Inc., one of her main purposes was to provide quality holistic healing options to the general public all in one location. Years later on her radio program Future Talk, Zoh interviewed William A. Tiller, Ph.D., fellow at the American Academy for the Advancement of Science and expert on the structure of matter. They talked about the Power of Place from the perspective of Dr. Tiller’s interest in anomalous and exceptional energies, healing, modes of consciousness and psychoenergetics.

As Above, So Below

Tiller and his team discovered through a series of experiments that human consciousness CAN alter the manifest world in chemical, biological and living systems. Participants in these experiments were all well-accomplished meditators, highly inner self-managed individuals, and together they would gather around a table, and after preparing themselves and the space, they would attempt to send an intention to a target. These experiments produced robustly successful results such as affecting the pH in water both up and down, activating liver enzymes, and reducing larval developmental time in fruit flies.

Most interesting to us as it pertains to the Power of Place at Ruscombe, however, is how the experiments impacted the very space in which the experiments were being conducted. Over time, as Tiller said, “the electrodynamic symmetry state of the space is raised.” In other words, repetition of the experiments in a given locale can dramatically increase the power of the locale to reproduce the results. Learn more about the science of intention https://tillerfoundation.org.

As a location where intentional healers have been conditioning the space for 50 years, Ruscombe is an example of “as above, so below.” The decades of intentional healing and creating a peaceful, sacred space have increased the power of our location to reproduce results. If you have benefitted by even one hour of this powerfully healing place, please join your intention to our community with a tax-deductible donation and help us maintain and grow the power of this place for another 50 years. http://www.ruscombe.org/donate
