Yoga at Ruscombe

We’re thrilled to announce two new series of yoga classes at Ruscombe starting July 17. Elisabeth Gambino, YA eRYT-500, will lead Hatha Yoga on Sunday mornings, 9:30 – 10:45 am, starting July 17th. On Thursday evenings, Elisabeth will lead Gentle Yoga sessions from 6:00 – 7:15 pm.

Hatha yoga (Sundays) is the physical practice of yoga. In this new 75 minute all-levels class, learn to build a yoga practice and adapt it to your body, to build strength, flexibility, mindfulness,  and increased physical wellbeing.  Each session will focus on a specific physical opening, freeing your body from movement patterns and opening your anatomy for a deeper yogic experience.  These structured classes will help you to build a therapeutic home practice, tailoring your practice to your needs!   Student suggestions are welcome at each session, and each six week cycle will work through most major areas of tension before returning to earlier class themes.  Recommended for all levels; I will teach students to adapt poses as needed for each individual body.

Gentle Yoga (Thursdays) is a restorative practice which complements active vinyasa practices and soothes the body after the day’s work. It is primarily floor-based and simulates the energetic meridians of the body, with gentle breath-based movement before longer holds. It opens the connective tissues and joints for increased flexibility, vitality and endurance.

Classes are $20 drop-in or $90 per six-session subscription.
